An Ork and a Monkey walk into a bar.....

Recently completed 40k Ork and Jokaero.  Not sure exactly what I will use them for, but they were fun to paint.

28mm Roads

I completed a set of 28mm roads today.  They are made from roof shingles, a method I read about on the Architects of War website.  They may not be perfect, but I think they will serve well enough.  I tried to make enough to fit most any layout,  though they are simple enough to make should I require more roads.  I only used a fraction of the package of shingle material I purchased at Lowes.

Here is shot of one of the roads with a Foundry viking.  The hedges are another work in progress.  I've used heavy duty metal scouring pads that I found in the paint section at Walmart.  The hedges aren't terrible, but they still need a little work.

I have a few other terrain bits in the works, including some rough stone walls.  Hopefully, they will be completed soon.

Foundry Viking

Just finished painting a Viking champion from Wargames Foundry. First non-"dipped" paint job I have attempted in many years.

Return of 15mm Sci Fi

I dredged up some of my 15mm sci fi from the Lead Mountain, and set to finish up a few bits. The buildings are the first time I have tried any weathering, but I think they turned out okay. I'm wanting to use them for a desert type frontier world, so I didn't want them looking too pristine. I picked up the dropship from Khurasan awhile back, and I'm fairly pleased with it.

Strange Aeons

I was able to persuade my fiance, Kristi, to play Strange Aeons a couple weeks ago. She took the part of a newly minted Threshold team, and I brought a group of dastardly cultists.

The game was a victory for the Threshold team, but at the cost of one agent dead and another crippled.

15mm Space Demons

I'm not actually dead, though one might think I had shuffled off the old mortal coil from the lack of activity around here. I've been working my way through a pile of lead - cleaning, basing, assembling - but have generated little in the way of finished product. Hopefully, the trend will shift soon.

Here are a few of the Khurasan Space Demons that I have managed to finish. I really like these figures, as well as the rest of stuff I've ordered from Khurasan.

Castle Dracula

I recently picked up this bit of terrain by Epic Buildings. It is a good sized piece, and comes finished and ready to use. It is shown here with some of my pulp heroes from Copplestone Castings.

I'm pretty happy with my purchase. I expect it to see plenty of use in pulp, horror, and fantasy games.
