The Scourge

I've got back round to the pile of 15mm scifi on my desk, this time with a few of the Scourge from Rebel Minis. I'm not sure about the gold torso plates on the "leader" figure. I wanted some way to distinguish him, but that may not be the best way to go about it.
More scifi to follow, I've got Sahadeen rebels and the crew of Serenity waiting, as well as a few bags of building fittings to start in on terrain.

Werewolf

I recently finished painting this werewolf, from Reaper, for service in both Chaos in Carpathia, and Strange Aeons. It's a nice sculpt, and was easy to paint. Now to get back to some 15mm sci fi....

Army Painter

I love Army Painter Quickshade. I had not painted miniatures in years when I bought this stuff. I hadn't gotten tired of the effort required for me to turn out even half decent figures, and had turned to using all pre-painted figures for my gaming needs. After moving to Knoxville, I heard of this dipping technique, and investigated further. In my internet searches, I turned up references to this particular product. I found a local hobby store that carried it, and picked up a couple of cans. The price was a bit steep, but I decided to take a chance.
And I love the stuff.
I am able to turn out miniatures with an acceptable paint job far faster than I ever did before. Now, I should say that I cannot compare the stuff to using the regular stain that many use for dipping. I have only used the Army Painter stuff, but I like it well enough that I'm hesitant to switch to anything else.

Nightgaunt

This is a RAFM Nightgaunt painted up for use in Strange Aeons. I've only had a couple games of Strange Aeons so far, but I'm really digging it. It is a great way to get my Call of Cthulhu fix and my miniature gaming fix at the same time. I decided to try a gunmetal blue for this guy, and I don't think it looks too bad.
Another quick post tonight. I got in late from a Alice Cooper/Rob Zombie concert, and my ears are ringing like crazy. Not my usual sort of music, but the show was a blast. Lots of props, costumes, and flame jets. And a trailer for Werewolf Women of the SS.

15mm Sci-Fi

These figures mark my first foray into 15mm. They are Earth Force Marines from Rebel Minis. The brushwork is fairly sloppy, but hopefully my work in this scale will improve with practice. I've got a pile of other Rebel Minis products in the queue, so I've plenty of chances to improve.

I've only recently embarked on 15mm sci-fi, and I'm impressed with the variety and quality of products available. My intention is to use these figures 5150, Future War Commander, and perhaps in a Savage Worlds scenario or two.

Cultist

I thought I would make a quick post to get things rolling. This is a cultist from Artizan Designs, recently painted for use in Strange Aeons. After uploading the picture, I realized that the figure had bits of static grass stuck to him. This should act as a reminder for me to ensure the figure is free of debris prior to sealing.

Is this a blog that I see before me?

I intend this blog to be a record of my life in gaming. Just how frequently this record will be updated remains to be seen - I generally have the attention span of a sparrow, and may be distracted by something shiny.
